Cat Skiing and Snowboarding
Imagine an entire day of skiing or boarding untouched powder in the backcountry.
Enjoy the luxury of being transported by a cat to terrain where you’ll carve
fresh tracks. Tours depart at 8:30 AM, and finish around 3:00 PM. Lunch is
provided, so you can keep your energy levels up for this exciting adventure. The
cat fills up quickly, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Childminding
Make sure you get the most out of your vacation and have your little ones close
by. Childminding services are available for children aged 18 months to five
years old. Enjoy your time on the hills and feel comfortable knowing your
children are in great hands.

Dog Sledding
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to race your own team of dogs?
Well, here is your chance. A team of highly trained professionals will prepare
you for the adventure of a lifetime. After you’ve been educated, you’ll hook up
your dogs and race them through pristine back country. This activity is popular,
so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Guided Tours
Looking for the perfect run to start off your day? Let the Sun Guide Team show
you around their mountain on a complimentary tour. There is a wide variety of
terrain at Sun Peaks, so make sure you get the most of your time on the slopes.
Tours depart daily between 9:00 to 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Look for the friendly
guides under the blue flag outside the village day lodge.
Ice Skating
Canadians love to skate, so be sure to check out the natural skating ice. Bring
down the entire family to the full sized outdoor skating rink for some laughs
and memories in the making. Feel like a game of hockey? Skate and stick rentals
are available, so be sure to head on down for lots of fun. The rink is a
short walk from the village square just past the sports centre.
Nordic Skiing
Enjoy the natural beauty of a winter wonderland on Nordic Ski trails. Experience
the peaceful silence of cruising on 28 km of trackset cross-country ski trails.
Or perhaps you’ll prefer to explore the 12 kilometers of ungroomed backcountry
trails. If you’re new to the sport of Nordic Skiing, take a lesson from one of
the instructors. Equipment rental is available, so there’s no excuse to not
check out the beautiful Nordic trails.
Race Centre
Ever wonder where world-class athletes train? The Nancy Greene International
Race Centre is being used by the Austrian National Ski Team in November and
early December to train until the Olympics in 2010. Austria is known for its
beautiful mountains, so Sun Peaks is thrilled that their race centre is
considered to be the best North American site to train their athletes.
Ski With Nancy Greene
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to ski with Olympic champion Nancy
Greene. This Canadian Ski icon is on the slopes almost every day, and would love to
show you how to hit the slopes Olympic style. Meet at the top of the Sunburst
Express (bubble chair) at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
Snow Biking
Want to try a new way to cruise down the hill at fast speeds? You will want to
try out Snow Biking which is a new and fast growing trend on the slopes. Sun
Peak instructors will teach you how to ride the bikes and get you racing down
the hill in no time. This is some serious fun, so be sure to check it out on
your next vacation.
Sleigh Rides
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the quiet contentment of being taken on a sleigh
ride. Listen to the gentle jingle of sleigh bells and enjoy the sites of the
beautiful village. Tell your significant other you love them on a romantic
sleigh ride for two. Or, bring down the family for a valley tour. Tours depart
daily at 5:00, 6:00, and 6:45 PM.
Sling Shot Bungy Trampoline
Literally fly through the air on the Bungy Trampoline. Challenge your friends
and family to see who can do the most flips. You won’t want to miss out on this
much fun. Shoot yourself sky high and get ready for some serious fun.
Snowmobile Tours
For all you adventurous types, be sure to check out the snowmobile tours. Feel
the exhilaration of racing through back country on a two or four hour guided
tour. A variety of choices are available, so bring down the entire family for
some exciting thrills. Sun Peaks makes sure you’re covered by providing
equipment and insurance.
Snowshoeing
Yet another way to enjoy the beauty of snow covered trees and the silence of a
winter wonderland. Bring down the family and take them on a guided tour of Sun
Peaks’ beautiful trails. If you’re more of an independent soul, rent some shoes
at the activity centre and go exploring on your own. Tours depart daily at 1:30
PM.
Sports Centre
After a long day on the slopes, come down to the pool and do a few laps. Is all
this action making your muscles achy? Be sure to give your well-exercised body a
break by relaxing in the hot tub. Be sure to bring the whole family, as there is
also a kiddies pool for the little ones to frolic in. The centre is close to the
village core, so you don’t have to go far to get a good swim in.
Terrain Park
Push your skills to the limit on the Terrain Park at Sun Peaks. There are two
separate parks available for Novice and Advanced riders, so you’ll be
comfortable to progress at your own pace. If you love to feel like you can fly,
test your skills on the Halfpipe. You’ll have lots of room to pull some tricks
because it’s 100 metres in length and has an average slope of 20 degrees.
Tube Park
Get ready for some high-speed cruising down the mountain at the Tube Park. Have
fun zipping around the curved lanes that are unique to this park. You’ve
definitely never been tubing like this before. Bring the whole family down for
lots of giggles and fun. The park is located in front of the village, so you
can’t miss it!
